Bio
Paul Ferney was
raised in Logan, Utah. He received a bachelor of
fine arts degree from Utah State University
where he studied under Glen Edwards. Paul
continued his art education in Salt Lake City,
taking workshops with Camile Corey and at King's
Cottage. The majority of Paul's paintings during
this time were inspired by the mountains and
valleys of Northern Utah. In 2004 Paul moved to
San Francisco where he currently resides. Paul
is a part of the Belcher Art Studio community,
where he keeps a studio. In 2005 Paul became
involved in the Plein Air painting community and
has participated in the Sonoma Plein Air
Festival. Paul still paints Utah landscapes but
has now been inspired by the beautiful local
wine country and the vibrant cityscapes of San
Francisco.
"I love that feeling when you know you're seeing
something amazing... Painting for me is a way for
me to share these moments of beauty". |
